70-Year-Old Man Indicted for Sexual Battery on a Child Under 12
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – On Wednesday, an Orange County grand jury formally indicted Kenneth Kafader, 70, for Sexual Battery on a Child (Victim Under 12 Years of Age) and two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation (Victim Under 12 Years of Age).
On Aug. 17, 2024, Orlando Police Department officers were called to a home for a report of a sexual battery on a child. A witness in the home reported seeing Kafader reach under the victim’s nightgown and sexually batter her. The witness confronted Kafader, who left the home before the police arrived.
Officers located Kafader at his home the next day and subsequently arrested him following an investigation.
On Nov. 20, the State presented sufficient evidence to a grand jury to secure an indictment against Kafader for Sexual Battery on a Child (Victim Under 12 Years of Age) and two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation (Victim Under 12 Years of Age).
