Man Indicted for Double Murder in Hammer Attack
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An Orange County grand jury formally indicted Jose Cantarero, 29, for two counts of First Degree Murder (with a Weapon).
On January 27, 2024, deputies found the bodies of two men inside a home on Tucker Avenue in Orange County. Both victims showed signs of severe trauma to the head. A hammer was also found at the house and deputies determined it may have been the murder weapon. While detectives were conducting witness interviews, the suspect returned to the scene and was arrested. Cantarero was charged with murdering both victims.
On June 26, the State presented sufficient evidence to a grand jury to secure indictments against Cantarero for two counts of First Degree Murder (with a Weapon).
