Man Indicted for First Degree Murder in Wife’s Fatal Shooting
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – On Wednesday, an Orange County grand jury formally indicted Armando Verdecia Carralero, 54, for First Degree Murder (with a Firearm) for shooting and killing his wife.
On Oct. 21, 2024, Orlando Police Department officers responded to a parking lot in the 5800 block of Lake Underhill Road for a report of a woman shot. Officers arrived on the scene and found Yuneisy Labrada Rodriguez, 44, on the ground, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators learned the defendant and victim were married but separated at the time. Police determined the defendant drove to his wife’s place of employment, confronted and fatally shot her before fleeing the scene. Authorities tracked Verdecia Carralero down later that day in Indian River County and took him into custody.
On Nov. 20, the State presented sufficient evidence to a grand jury to secure an indictment against Verdecia Carralero for First Degree Murder (with a Firearm).
