Denzelle Turner Indicted on First Degree Murder for 2021 Murder of Girlfriend
ORANGE COUNTY, FL – The Office of the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida announces Denzelle Turner has been indicted on a First Degree Murder charge in the shooting death of his girlfriend, Veronica Sacco, after an Orange County grand jury returned a True Bill.
Ms. Sacco was reported missing out of Orange County in April 2021. Two weeks later, wildlife surveyors discovered her body wrapped in plastic and a tarp in a remote agricultural area off a dirt road in Lake County. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office worked in conjunction with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and The Florida Department of Law Enforcement to identify Turner as a suspect. Investigators determined Turner killed Ms. Sacco in Orange County.
Turner was located in Georgia, arrested and extradited to Florida. Turner is also facing charges of tampering with physical evidence and interfering with a dead body, a third degree felony and first degree misdemeanor, respectively.
