Man Indicted for First Degree Murder After Shooting Woman and Leaving Baby to Die in Car
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – On Wednesday (May 22), an Orange County grand jury formally indicted Doujon Griffiths, 24, for First Degree Murder (with a Firearm), First Degree Murder, Attempted First Degree Murder (with a Firearm) and three counts of Shooting at, within, or into a Building.
Just after 5 a.m. on September 7, 2021, Griffiths shot and killed a woman in a vehicle after shooting and injuring a man. Griffiths left the woman’s baby in the vehicle without calling for help. The vehicle was discovered two days later with the one-year-old child dead inside.
The State presented sufficient evidence to a grand jury to secure indictments against Griffiths for First Degree Murder (with a Firearm), First Degree Murder, Attempted First Degree Murder with a Firearm and three counts of Shooting At, Within, or Into a Building.
