OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – On Wednesday (April 24) an Osceola County grand jury formally indicted Alberto Gonzalez-Velazquez, 35, for First Degree Murder (with a Weapon).

On October 20, 2023, Gonzalez-Velazquez stabbed his father multiple times and then drove off in a pick-up truck. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office received several 911 calls about the incident, responded to the area and quickly apprehended the defendant. The victim died two days later at Osceola Regional Hospital.

The State presented sufficient evidence to a grand jury to secure an indictment against Gonzalez-Velazquez for First Degree Murder (with a Weapon).
