The mission of the Public Information Office is to provide accurate information to citizens and the media in a timely manner. Dedicated to promoting and supporting various functions within the SAO, the office also provides information on services and initiatives.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Earlier this year, State Attorney Andrew Bain launched Turning Pages, a juvenile literacy pilot program to identify and address literacy issues among at-risk youth in Orange and Osceola counties. The first group of five students completed the 12-week intensive program in April.
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An Orange jury found an Orlando man, Mykenry Francois, 28, guilty of First Degree Murder with a Firearm after he fatally shot a man in 2021.
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An Orange County jury found Andres Robayo Cardenas, 23, guilty of First Degree Murder after he and his accomplices beat, robbed, kidnapped, shot and killed a man in 2019.
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An Orange County jury found Lyndell Demps, 52, guilty of Home Invasion Robbery, Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after he attacked a family in a home in Orlando.
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An Orange County jury found Stephen Bodley, 26, guilty of Sexual Battery on a Child after he openly admitted to it during a job interview for the Apopka Police Department.
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An Orange County jury found a Leesburg man, D'Wann Bentley, 25, guilty of First Degree Murder with a Firearm after he shot and killed a man in Orange County in 2021.
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Lakrisha Isaac, 33, entered a plea of no contest for Manslaughter and Culpable Negligence by Storing or Leaving a Loaded Firearm within Reach of a Minor for a shooting that resulted in the death of Lashun Rodgers, 41.
NINTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, Fla. – The Office of the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit and Victim Service Center of Central Florida collaborated to launch a new pilot program offering victims and survivors of crimes access to an in-house counselor at the State Attorney’s Office in Orange County.
