The mission of the Public Information Office is to provide accurate information to citizens and the media in a timely manner. Dedicated to promoting and supporting various functions within the SAO, the office also provides information on services and initiatives.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An Orlando Man, Eric Martin, 34, was sentenced to life in prison and two 25-year minimum mandatory sentences after an Orange County jury convicted him of sexually abusing three children.
OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – On Wednesday (April 24) an Osceola County grand jury formally indicted Alberto Gonzalez-Velazquez, 35, for First Degree Murder (with a Weapon).

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – The Ninth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office has filed a Notice of Intent to Seek the Death Penalty for Joanne Zephir in the murder of her 3-year-old child.
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An Orange County jury found two men, Broderick Thomas, 36, and Davonte McRae, 27, guilty of several charges after they invaded a family’s home and held five innocent people at gunpoint. They were convicted on two counts of Home Invasion Robbery, three counts of Burglary of a Dwelling with Assault/Battery with a Firearm, one count of Attempted Felony Murder (McRae only) and one count of Aggravated Battery (Great Bodily Harm with a Firearm) (McRae only).
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – On Monday, a woman from Orlando was sentenced to just over 23 years in the Florida Department of Corrections for causing a fatal crash while driving under the influence of alcohol that killed two people.
